Day 1. Arrival in Munich, Germany

Our hotel  is only 5 minutes drive from the airport to Freising, where you can relax, or go exploring the medieval town. Located 25 minutes to the north of Munich, Fresing is the oldest town in Bavaria with an almost 1300 year history .  If you arrive early, you can also catch a train into Munich , for a day of sightseeing. Around 6.00 pm  there will be an introductory meeting with  your fellow riders and  bike allocation, we will  go for dinner at a traditional Bavarian restaurant to discuss the details of the days to come, over a beer or two.

Day 2. Munich to Arlberg, Austria  272km

We leave Freising behind and hop on the highway, to avoid busy morning traffic around Munich. We leave the highway and continue south along the Stamberger see to Ettal for lunch. After lunch, we will  begin encountering some gentle sweepers and then increasingly challenging passes as the snow-topped Bavarian Alps give way to the Austrian Alps. From here the real fun begins. . In the afternoon you can have a dip in the natural pool of our beautiful hotel or enjoy a drink on the terrace .

Day 3. Arlberg to Andermatt, Switzerland 349km

From picturesque Arlberg, , we’ll continue west toward Switzerland, crossing the postage stamp- sized monarchy of Lichtenstein along the way.We spend the rest of today riding through Swiss Alps . What will be one of the “best ever ” riding days for most riders, starting  with the Klausen Pass, and then  onto Susten Pass, then Grimsel Pass and ending with the breathtaking Furka pass. Your head will be spinning when we finally arrive in our luxury hotel in Andermatt. After quick shower, we will head out for a traditional Swiss  dinner…..

Day 4. Andermatt to Bormio, Italy  253km

We will continue to experience many exhilarating roads and picture-perfect Alpine scenery. This morning we head out of Andermatt up the Oberalp pass into the mountains . After riding down the Julierpass , we will stop for lunch in Silvaplana, just outside St.Moritz .This afternoon , we head over the Bernina pass to Livigno, in Italy, here we continue to Bormio , our destination for the night .

Day 5. Bormio to Merano , Italy    107 kms

Our challenge today is the famous  Stelvio Pass. At almost 2800 m, Stelvio is one of the two highest rideable mountain passes in the Alps! And what a ride it is– switchbacks galore, and, if you dare to look up from the road, some of the most beautiful high mountain panoramas in the world. We plan to have lunch at a local brewery before arriving at our hotel in the famous spa town of Merano for an afternoon off the bikes . You can choose to explore the town , visit the thermal baths or simply put your feet up !

Day 6. Merano to Dolomites  258km

Today is another stunningly beautiful ride on program. My favourite of all Giau pass will leave you speechless, with it`s 360º views and endless beauty. From here we descend to Cortina and then continue to another jewel of the Dolomites, passo Tre Croci . We cross passo Mauria  &  passo Giulia and then continue to Tolmezzo. From here it’s just a short ride to our hotel on the shores of Lago di Cavazzo.

Day 7. Trasaghis – The Triglav loop 208 kms

Today ,we head out on a loop around the Triglav National park into Slovenia. We will spend the day on fabulous twisty mountain roads with amazing views of the Triglav National park and the river Soca. After lunch we cross back in to Italy and admire the Parco naturale delle Prealpi Giulie on the way back to our hotel.

Day 8. Trilago to Kaprun, Austria  .   225kms

This morning we head over the Plocken pass into Austria before we tackle the famous Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse. Every corner (tornante) offers spectacular views of the mountains around and makes you want to stop to take pictures. We will take our time and enjoy the pass with several stops along the route to take pictures and buy souvenirs . We descend on the northern side of the mountain and spend the afternoon in the outdoor heated pool of our charming hotel.

Day 9. Kaprun to Munich.  247kms

Today we head north through the beautiful Austrian alphine countryside  and over the border into Germany  .  After lunch near Wasserburg am Inn, we continue through beautiful  Bavarian farmland  back to Munich for a farewell dinner.
