The Sierras And National Parks of Andalucía

This tour has it all ,  the beautiful Andalucían countryside, a night on the beach , the mountains of the Cazorla national park and finally a night in the exciting city of Granada .  We head east  to the foothills of the Sierras Nevada , ride through the desert of Almeria  and enjoy the coastal road of Cabo de Gata.  After a night overlooking the Mediterranean Sea we head north  through  national parks and high into the Sierras . Come and enjoy some of the best biking roads Europe has to offer plus wonderful food and perhaps the odd glass of wine.

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival day – Sierra Nevada

Once we have picked you up from the airport or your hotel ,we will take you to our base in Coin where we will allocate the bikes .The plan is to start riding by late afternoon. After a ride along the coast we head into the hills to our destination for the evening , a beautiful rural hotel in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

Day 2. Sierra Nevada  – Mojacar

Today we head to cowboy country . After a morning , riding through the valley of Las Alpujarres  we will arrive in the province of Almeria . After lunch we ride through the Almeria desert and past the film studios famous for Spaghetti westerns . Before we reach our hotel on the beach at Mojacar , we will enjoy the coastal road  along the natural park of Cabo de Gata.

Day 3. Mojacar – Cazorla

After breakfast , overlooking the Med we head north-west towards the national park of Cazorla and some of the best biking roads Andalucia has to offer . Taking a break for lunch in the village of Hornos , we spend the afternoon riding through the park . Our destination for the tonight is a beautiful hotel perched on the mountain side with incredible views overlooking the park .

Day 4. Cazorla – Granada

We leave Cazorla behind and head to Puerto de Tiscar for a coffee in the monastery and a visit to the famous water cave. We continue over the Sierra de Pozo and head south to Guadix riding past the original cave houses. From Guadix we take the back road through stunning country side to Granada . Depending on the time we can make a little detour to the top of the Sierra Nevada . Tonight we will explore the famous tapas bars of Granada .

Day 5. Departure day

This morning is our last chance to enjoy the scenic roads of Andalucia  before arriving back to our base in Coin . After dropping off the bikes and changing out of your riding gear we will arrange your transfers to either the airport or hotel.
